AT&T’s 7.2Mbps HSDPA will be available in Bay Area in 2010

AT&T recently announced that it was upgrading its 3G network to 7.2Mbps starting 2010 in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to the speed boost, AT&T has turned on 850MHz at approximately 850 cell sites in the Bay Area,and in the Bay Area has increased by 2000% since 2008. added backhaul connections, and added about 40 new cell sites. AT&T claims that data demToday AT&T also noted that is has turned on 850MHz spectrum in the greater Seattle area for its 3G network. Customers in these regions should experience better 3G network performance.
