AT&T Nokia E71x “no gateway reply” message Problem

Posted: 29 Jan 2010 08:51 AM PST

If you receive the “no gateway replymessage on your AT&T Nokia E71x when you go to browse the net connected to your local network, don’t worry about it. There are two reasons for the message occuring, one is If you are using the default web browser, but you don’t reset the connnection in the browser settings, then you will have the problem. So the solution for this possibility is to reset the connnection in the browser settings before you try to connect with wifi.

The other possibility is if you use defaulf browser (MediaNet), but you meet the same issue, too. I have to say you don’t do it right , now just do exactly as the steps below:

1) on your phone’s desktop, click on “WLAN Scanning Off” (if it is already off), it will enable your WiFi and it turns to “Refreshing” AT&T cell phone Questions&Answers

2) click again and it will show you 3 options: “Start web browsing”, “Search for WLAN”, “Switch WLAN scan off”. don’t click on start web browsing.

3) select “Search for WLAN”, it will show available networks.

4) select your home network and after entering your network key (if there is any) it will open your defaulf browser. AT&T Nokia E71X info

5) i think you can now surf the web

PS:Now if you want to use other apps to go online like opera, google apps, skype app, facebook app, etc. you have to change your WLAN settings. if so, you have to go to: Settings > WLAN wiz.

Hope it is useful! Enjoy! If you have any other question, please them here!

AT&T Nokia E71x Dust under screen issue Fixes

Posted: 28 Jan 2010 07:50 AM PST

It’s vey annoying if it is dust under AT&T E71x’s Screen, if you meet this issue on your Nokia E71x phone, you’d better to solve the problem as soon as possible. Here I find one solvtion that use a T5 screwdriver for you! Make sure you follow what’s mentioned steps below:

1. Under the battery cover you will see four star-head screws. These are the only screws holding the front panel of the phone on. You need a T5 screwdriver to remove them, don't try using a flathead screwdriver

2. With the four screws out, press a small flathead screwdriver into the holes shown in this photo, on both sides of the phone. They are little clips that hold the front on (in addition to the screws, obviously). With those released, pull the front forward and slide it slightly up. There are two metal hooks holding the top of the front to the phone.

3. now you have the front off and can see the dust. Clean it off both the screen and the plastic that covers the screen, and reverse the process. All up this shouldn't take you much longer than 10 minutes.

Of course, this is a temporary measure to fix the issue, but it doesn’t solve the problem from the root. So let’s hope ATT or Nokia will give us a more useful solution .

How to Copy and paste within browser on AT&T Nokia E71X

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 09:00 AM PST

As we known, when you’re editing a document, such as text message, e-mail, etc on AT&T nokia E71x, you can copy text, press and hold the shift key, and scroll to highlight the word, phrase, or line of text you want to copy. Select Options > Editing options > Copy. To insert the text into a document, move to the correct place, and select Options > Editing options > Paste. While I’m unable to copy and paste within browser, so strange! I remember the Nokia e71 support this function. However, why I can’t do it on Nokia e71x? Anyone has successed to do it? AT&T Nokia E71X info

Also there are some uesers say this is an issue for Nokia E71x, if true, i hope AT&T will fix this problem as soon as possible.

AT&T Motorola Backflip Lauch date on March 7th, priced at $324

Posted: 14 Jan 2010 07:50 AM PST

It has been long time since we heard motorola’s first android phone- motorola backflip may head to AT&T, though motorola has officially introduced the backflip for us, but so for neither motorola or AT&T has officially confimred the release date and price for motorola backflip. While today it is rumored that AT&T will launch the backflip on March 7th for $324.

The Motorola Backflip is a rather unique and crazily-designed reverse flip touchscreen phone , it will be a good choice to the ever-popular iPhone; especially if AT&T loses exclusivity with Apple. But if the backflip is priced higher than $324, it would not be as popular with the targeted younger demographic.
