The Motorola Backflip, motorola’s first android phone will be on sale  AT&T stores on March 7 for $99.99 after $100 mail-in rebate, bu not priced at $324 that we heard in early January. The Backflip looks cool, as we have seen previously, it has a unique form factor and  its keyboard looks very same as the CLIQ’s, but bigger. It’s definitely more domed and clicky than the poor-quality Motorola DROID keyboard. The CLIQ’s three physical buttons below the screen have been replaced by light-up touch buttons, which clould be pretty cool if you think about how it could be used by game developers (who wants to have to click around on things on screen, fidget with keys on a keypad or awkwardly roll around a trackball). I’m not saying it’s perfect, but it’s certainly pretty amazing.

I think the motorola backflip looks pretty cool, actually. Not a supermodel, but hot non the less. It features a 528-MHz Qualcomm MSM 7200A processor, 320-by-480 screen, 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, 3G and Google Android 1.5 OS with Motorola’s MOTOBLUR social-networking add-ons. We see as an android device, the backflip is not good enough, but I think it is almost guaranteed to be a more budget smartphone and people will buy into that, especially on AT&T.
