AT&T,T-Mobile Stop Saying Mobile Voicemail Is Safe Posted: 12 Dec 2008 10:37 PM CST In California,AT&T and T-Mobile agree to stop saying mobile voicemail is safe.And they pay separate fines over the insecurity of their mobile voicemail services. We all know ever the AT&T and T-Mobile all marketed their voicemail as being secure.However, undercover agents were able to easily hack into voicemail accounts from both carriers and alter/delete messages. AT&T is paying $59,300 and T-Mobile is paying $25,000. The firms are also not allowed to claim that they have secure voicemail systems.But AT&T, T-Mobile and TelTech did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
